Service Connection
A single Internet based system for communicating work order information between workshop and their customers to which anyone can connect using either the built-in software or through the use of web services to connect to their own systems.
Originally launched in 2002 the ServiceConnection was the first system to offer a standardised method for transportation of work order information between the customer i.e retailer, and the workshop. The key was to create a master list of units, models and brands which everyone could use so that a unit entered at one location could be assigned to the correct workshop with the correct details. Although this seems to be an obvious need it is a fact that back in 2002 there were no standards which caused enormous problems and administrative overheads for the service industry.
With the advent of the ServiceConnection workshops no longer needed to enter work orders manually but could receive pre-registered orders with all the necessary information. Neither did they have to spend hours of valuable workshop time communicating with customers as this is done automatically by ServiceConnection using e-mail, fax and sms text.
Although the ServiceConnection is a global system encompassing a vast array of brands and appliances, it can be tailored to suit the smallest or largest of operations using the contracts feature so that only relevant data is shown to the parties involved.
